Important victory for Panthers Wrocław. Poles outshine Berlin Thunder

Panthers Wrocław defeated Berlin Thunder 15-12 in a pivotal European League of Football game. The three-point victory keeps Wrocław in contention for a playoff berth, but they now rely on favorable results from other teams' games. Poland's representatives have their final game of the regular season ahead – an away game against Fehervar Enthroners.

Wrocław triumphs over Berlin

The game against Berlin Thunder held significant stakes for Panthers Wrocław's playoff aspirations. Both teams understood that the outcome would determine their position in the Eastern Conference table of the European League of Football. If the visitors had won, they would have secured a place in the postseason. If Wrocław had won by more than 10 points, they would have been on the verge of playoffs. The three-point victory means that the "Panthers" now need favorable outcomes from other European League of Football games and to win their next game.

The duel against Berlin Thunder unfolded as a tightly contested and defensive affair. Maciej Krupa and Kacper Jaszewski scored tries for Panthers Wrocław. Following an interception by Maciej Jabłoński, Jakub Ałdaś secured the result in the final seconds of the game with a precise three-point kick.

I am proud of the way our team competed! We defeated a strong Berlin Thunder while dealing with the absence of two American players. Our defense played an incredible game. Although our playoff fate isn't entirely in our hands, we will be ready to face the Fehervar Enthroners in the last game of the regular season Dave Christensen, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

Final game of the regular season

Panthers Wrocław have one more game left in the regular season. On September 3rd (Sunday), the Polish representatives will face Fehervar Enthroners away – the Hungarian team they previously defeated 63-33. This game will be broadcast on Polsat's sports channels starting from 4:20 PM. The European League of Football playoff phase will commence the following week.
