Smith, like Solomon Brown, will be an additional defensive support for the Panthers in the 2023 season. The 25-year-old native of Alabama has played for the East Tennessee State Buccaneers and Omaha Beef, last year's Championship Indoor Football champions.
“Artevius Smith is a versatile third line player. On his tape you can see not only a great game against the passing game of rivals, but also strong hits in the running game. His winning nature and work ethic will fit in perfectly with our team." sums up the sports director of the Panthers, Jakub Samel.
Below you can read a mini-interview with our new player:
I chose to play for the Panthers because of the coaches who believe I will come to Wroclaw to be a great player and a good team player. I fully trust and believe that coach Likins and head coach Christensen are building a great program in Wroclaw and I wanted to be a part of something great!
I would describe it as aggressive, energetic, feisty and dependable. I would compare my style to Tyranna Mathieu aka Honeybadger.
Fans can expect a great player on the field and an even better man off it. I'm looking forward to our first meeting and getting involved with the team and the fans. To colleagues - let them expect a true leader and a fearless player who will follow his brothers into the fire. Off the field, we will be like brothers and friends who will build a lifelong bond!
I want everyone to know how grateful and excited I am to come to Wroclaw. I can't wait to start our 2023 European League of Football Championship journey together! Fear The ROAR!
