In their final game of the 2025 European League of Football regular season, Panthers Wrocław were defeated at home by the Munich Ravens, losing 26–49.
From the very beginning, the Panthers set a high tempo, putting strong pressure on the German side. Once again, American wide receiver Darrell Stewart Jr. proved unstoppable, hauling in nine receptions for 134 yards and a touchdown. Adding to the scoreboard were quarterback DJ Irons with two rushing touchdowns, wide receiver Ott Eric Ottender, and kicker Jakub Ałdaś, who converted two extra points.
For three quarters, the matchup was extremely close, with the lead constantly changing hands. It wasn’t until the fourth quarter that the Ravens pulled away, securing their 11th victory of the season.
“It was a very tough game. Unfortunately, we couldn’t turn things around in the fourth quarter, even though up until then we were fighting on equal terms. In the last quarter, the Ravens made the most of their chances, while we came up just a few plays short of finishing our drives with points. On top of that, mistakes on special teams gave them too many favorable field positions. Still, I have to praise the guys for battling until the very end. I believe the entire Polish American football community should be proud of these players, who put their hearts into competing all season long against some of the best teams in the European League of Football,”said Panthers Wrocław offensive coordinator Jakub Samel after the game.
