Solomon Brown, Defensive Line / Outside Linebacker
Strengthening the defensive line is the first move of the new staff that has been made in the ongoing offseason. Brown is a twenty-six-year-old American who played in the first division of the NCAA with the Charleston Southern Buccaneers. Representing the Bucs, he recorded 197 knockdowns, 35 tackles for loss and 15 sacks in three seasons, ranking 23rd nationally for knockdowns per game in the 2017 season.
In addition to the defensive line, Brown, thanks to his size and athleticism, can also play as an Outside Linebacker, actively supporting the defense also in the passing game.
“I am so grateful for the opportunity to join #ThePack. I can't wait to come to Wrocław, start working with the team and meet you - Panthers fans. Thanks a lot and Hear The ROAR!” - this is how Brown greeted the fans, who will come to Wrocław in the spring of 2023 to start preparations at the Olympic Stadium.
“Solomon Brown will be a great addition to our defensive line. Combining strength, technique and speed, he is a versatile player who has played against the best teams in the top division at college level. Most importantly, his skills and physical condition will make him a great fit into our defensive coordinator Dave Likins, who remains with the Panthers for another year." Panthers sports director Jakub Samel sums up the first transfer this year.
According to the rules of the European League of Football, each team can strengthen itself with four players from category A (players who started their career in a country with games at the academic level - including the USA, Canada, Mexico or Japan), and six European players. Soon we will introduce you to another of the American players who signed a contract with the Panthers for the upcoming season, until then we encourage you to see a sample of Solomon Brown's skills in the colors of Charleston Bucs.
