Panthers Wrocław delivered a commanding performance at the Olympic Stadium, defeating the Cologne Centurions 54–2. Next week, the Polish representatives in the European League of Football will play another game, this time away in the Czech Republic against the Prague Lions.
Second Win in a Row
From the very start, the Wrocław team dominated their German opponents. They took the lead early in the first quarter and maintained control throughout the game. Both the offense and defense played outstandingly. Dawid Brzozowski was unstoppable, recording an impressive four rushing touchdowns. Additional touchdowns were scored by Tomasz Kempa, Kacper Jaszewski, Michał Goszczyński, and Przemysław Banat. On the defensive end, the Panthers intercepted the ball four times and didn’t allow a single touchdown. Wojciech Simka and newcomer Paul Lewis III each grabbed an interception, while Maciej Jabłoński and Szymon Romanowski recovered fumbles.
“We played a solid game. We managed to correct the mistakes we made last week in Hungary, which allowed us to score significantly more points today. The start was a bit challenging for us offensively, but the second half was clearly ours. We executed everything we had planned. We’re happy with the result. Now we have a full week of hard work ahead to properly prepare for the rematch with the Prague Lions. Thank you to all our fans for the support! Stay with us – we’ll keep fighting hard for a playoff spot in every game,” said Mateusz Wojakiewicz, Panthers Wrocław tight end.
