Diego Lliteras strengthens the quarterback room of Panthers Wrocław!

Spanish quarterback Diego Lliteras joins Panthers Wrocław. He will bolster the quarterback unit for the team competing in AFLE - The League Europe.

Diego hails from sunny Mallorca, where his American football journey first began. He spent his senior year of high school in the USA, playing for a local high school team. Upon returning to Europe, he continued his career in the European League of Football, representing the Barcelona Dragons and the Madrid Bravos. Most recently, in early May, he clinched the Spanish Championship in the LNFA Serie A league as a player for the Las Rozas Black Demons.

Before signing with Panthers Wrocław, did you ever have the chance to visit Poland, or had you heard much about our country before?

I did visit Poland with my dad during Christmas, I was in Warsaw and Krakow and spent new years eve in a small town called Tarnów, I really liked the country and its history.

How would you describe yourself as a player-what type of quarterback are you? Would you say you're more of a classic pocket passer or a dual-threat QB, and what do you consider to be your most dangerous weapon on the field?

I’ve always said I’m a dual threat, with the ability to make any throw on the field and also take off running if the situation demands it, I’d say having the ability to make anything happen in any play is my best weapon.

Chemistry with your receivers is key to success. How do you plan on building that connection with your wideouts before the season kicks off? Do you have any go-to methods or personal strategies for this?

I think getting on the field throwing is the best way, but also hang out with them outside of football and getting to know them personally helps immensely.

The wide receiver room for the 2026 season looks very strong.Which player do you think you'll have the best chemistry with?

I’m really excited to see our wide receiver room go at it at every game and practice, I personally know 3 of them already, edu, juan who played with me in madrid and we had an awesome relationship and also eric who I’ve known for a couple years now and I’m excited to reconnect with him on the field.

They say the quarterback is the most important and mentally demanding position on the field. How do you handle that pressure, and do you have any specific rituals that help you keep your cool in clutch moments?

I really think is one of the hardest positions in sports and the best way to handle it is being prepared at all times for any situation, be ready before you have to get ready. I think talking to myself and not making things bigger than they are is huge to help you be calm under pressure in those moments.

What is your mindset and your main goal as you head to Wrocław?

My mindset is to learn and improve as much as I can as a player and as a person and of course I have my eyes set on helping the team as much as I can to win the championship.

Panthers Wrocław fans are known for their incredible passion and loud support at the Olympic Stadium. Is there anything special you’d like to say to them before the 2026 AFLE season opener?

Bring everything you guys have to the field as we will do the same for you guys, having the fans come out to the games and support helps us a lot and is a huge factor on winning or losing.
