Time for the Polish Lacrosse League of Women!

The inaugural tournament of the Polish Lacrosse League for Women, in which the players of the Panthers Lacrosse section will compete this year, is approaching. Last season our girls played in the German league. Under the leadership of a new coach, Bartosz Kajor, they played a total of 12 games as part of the eastern Bundesliga DLaxV.

The Panthers players played a match against each of their division teams in the fall round and then a rematch in the spring. With a total of 6-1-5, the Panthers Lacrosse finished third in the group. Ultimately, the BSC Victoria Berlin A team won the game, they were dominant opponents in each game and with a full set of victories, were beyond the reach of our team last season. Unfortunately, large staff shortages, caused by a series of injuries, thwarted Wrocław's plans to fight for gold.

In terms of sports, the coach was positively surprised, even though the team had to be supported by players from other cities. However, the positive balance of matches, which finally placed us in third place, is a positive result for the young section.

The team didn't know my style of leading the team, so it's hard to talk about pre-season sports and tactical assumptions. Before the start of the season, we were building only on the skills that the girls had acquired through the Lacross training process in previous years, so it was a pleasant surprise anyway that we managed to achieve such results in the first international season.

I think that if we started in the German league again this year, we could fight for the second place in the eastern group.

I would even risk saying that we could cut more goals in all games and even win the game against the group leader.

Overall, the season was better than expected and it gave me a lot of material to analyze. It was definitely an added value for all players, and for many a chance to gain valuable experience against players technically better than themselves in a very strong league, which is the Bundesliga. "

In the current season, Panthers Lacrosse will play in the Polish League of Women's Lacrosse, and for the first time they will appear on the pitch this coming Sunday, during the tournament in Katowice. At the tournament, we will play a meeting with the current Polish Champions - Poznań Hussars Ladies, and then take up Walkirie Katowice, i.e. hosts of the tournament playing in front of their own audience.

We keep our fingers crossed that the Panthers players will meet all the coach's sporting goals for the upcoming season, many wins in the league this season, and may injuries avoid our Panthers!
