Panthers Wrocław fell at their own turf 16:20 to the European champions, Vienna Vikings. Despite the defeat, the Wrocław team still holds a strong chance of advancing to the European League of Football play-offs. The crucial game for the Polish team will be against Berlin Thunder, scheduled to take place at the Olympic Stadium this coming Saturday.
Poles weaker than Austrians
In the 10th round of the European League of Football, Panthers Wrocław hosted the reigning European champions, Vienna Vikings, at the Olympic Stadium. In the first game in Vienna, the Polish team was only three points away from victory despite leading for most of the game.
On Sunday, the situation was similar – the Poles also led for a significant part of the game, but ultimately, the Austrians came out on top, this time with a four-point advantage. Among the Wrocław players, Jakub Ałdaś deserves recognition, as he successfully made three field goals, one from an impressive 55 yards.
