Panthers Wrocław back on the field. Armia at Stadion Olimpijski.

On Saturday, April 18 at 1:00 PM, Panthers Wrocław will host Armia Poznań at Stadion Olimpijski. It will be the team’s second game of the Polish Football League season.

Armia will open their 2026 campaign this coming weekend with a home game against AZS UWM Olsztyn Lakers, which makes their current form and any potential changes in their system something of an unknown. Last season, Panthers faced Armia in Poznań and came out on top 27:23 after a highly physical and evenly matched game where the smallest details made the difference. This time, fans can expect a similar battle, but with the added advantage of home field and the strong form of Willie Stricklin, who already proved his quality in the season opener.

On offense, keep an eye on the wide receiver duo of Tomasz Burdziński and Kacper Chorążewski. Both were key playmakers last season, consistently challenging opposing defenses. Chorążewski is currently in excellent form, highlighted by his recent debut in the starting lineup of the Poland U19 national team during last week’s IFAF European Championship game against Finland.

We’re heading into another matchup, this time against Armia Poznań. Our last game against them ended in a 27:23 win, but it was a very close contest that showed how much every detail matters. We expect an intense and physical game on both sides. It’s hard to fully assess the opponent at this stage, as Armia has made several roster changes and we haven’t seen them play yet this season. Regardless, we’re preparing for a demanding matchup where focus and execution from the first to the last snap will be key,” said Panthers linebacker Mikołaj Pastucha.

Jakub Samel’s team enters this game highly motivated to bounce back after their opening loss to reigning Polish champions Warsaw Eagles. The four-week break between games allowed the coaching staff to analyze mistakes and implement adjustments aimed at securing the team’s first win of the season.

After the game against the Eagles, the whole team is motivated and working hard to eliminate mistakes. Last year’s game against Armia was very close, and we expect another tough matchup, this time at Stadion Olimpijski. We invite all fans to come out - it’s going to be another exciting game,” said head coach Jakub Samel.

Join us at the stadium for another dose of football emotions.

A Panthers Wrocław game is more than just competition - it’s a full experience packed with dynamic plays, big moments, and energy that carries through the stands. It’s also a great opportunity for a family outing or meeting up with friends. For those attending their first American football game, there will be live commentary explaining the rules.
