Panthers Juniors Win the 2025 Season Opener!

The Panthers Juniors kicked off the 2025 season with a confident victory. In their first matchup, they defeated PFL-J newcomers, the Hunters Tarnów, on the road with a score of 38–0.

The game, played in difficult conditions due to heavy rainfall, didn’t favor a spectacular offensive display. Both teams, adapting to the weather, relied mainly on running plays. Even so, it was the defensive units that truly put on a show. The first half was very tight, with the Panthers heading into halftime holding a narrow 8–0 lead after a rushing touchdown by Jan Wroński and two points scored by the Panthers’ defense from a safety.

After the break, the Wrocław side took full control of the game. They adjusted better to the conditions and steadily extended their advantage, finishing the contest at 38–0. Two touchdowns were scored by Maciej Banaszewski, while Jan Wroński, Szymon Węgier, and Piotr Paliński each added one.

“It was a good game for us. Even though the score doesn’t fully reflect it, I have to admit Tarnów made things difficult, especially in the first half. Their work deserves recognition, as they managed to build a really solid team in just a few months. They have some big players who gave us a lot of trouble. In the second half we managed to pull away. I think it came down to everyone settling into the pace of the game. We corrected our earlier mistakes and took advantage of gaps in their defensive formation and setup. Congratulations to the Hunters Tarnów. It was a very successful debut, and I hope they won’t be discouraged by the score. There’s nothing to be ashamed of – especially in the first half, they played a great game.”
