Panthers Bowling is starting

Another team will play under the Panthers Wroclaw banner. After American soccer, softball, lacrosse and ultimate frisbee, the time has come for another American sport - bowling. Panthers Bowling will join the competition on the back of Poland's top league later this season.

Panthers Wrocław can call itself a full-fledged American sports club. The best-known team of the Wrocław organization is the American soccer team competing in the European League of Football, but the "Panthers" are also developing other disciplines originating from the United States. This time, the Wroclawians decided to grab their bowling balls and join forces with the Lower Silesian Bowling Association, co-founding the Panthers Bowling team.

- We want to change the dimension of Polish bowling. It is one of the most popular and profitable sports in the US. We believe that since it is so overseas, it can work similarly in Europe as well. Taking advantage of the blazed trails and support of the organization, we decided to form Panthers Bowling in order to travel a similar path with bowling to the one Panthers Wrocław took with American soccer," says Paweł Siedlecki, a player and one of the founders of Panthers Bowling.

The new Panthers Wrocław team will play in the back of the bowling league and will join the competition later in the ongoing season. Panthers Bowling players will train at Sky Bowling in Wroaław as well as high-tech, private facilities. The team was headed as a coach by Tomasz Janicki, a multiple Polish champion and national representative in bowling.

- We have more and more professional, licensed players in Poland, making it necessary for existing clubs to think about development and getting to a higher level. Panthers Wrocław's soccer players started in the Polish league, and thanks to their professional approach and excellent organization, today they compete with European clubs on a completely different level. Why can't we do the same with bowling? We want to show that a bowling club can function like a company - have structures, departments and facilities. Only such steps can allow us to get to the level we are looking for overseas today," Siedlecki adds.

- We are pursuing the vision of Panthers Wrocław as a hub for American sports, which is why we decided to partner with the Lower Silesian Bowling Association, providing the team with substantive support, know-how and rights to use our colors and logo. Bowling is a seemingly crazy, though in fact quite natural direction for us. I am convinced that another discipline in our portfolio can increase the attractiveness of the club and influence its popularity, reach and diversity," comments Michał Latoś, president of Panthers Wrocław.
