On this day, the German powerhouse proved simply too strong. Panthers Wrocław were defeated on the road by the Munich Ravens, losing 14–34. Our representatives in the European League of Football will return to action in two weeks, facing the Vienna Vikings in a rematch away from home.
Munich Still Unconquered
Even before kickoff, it was clear just how difficult it is to win in Munich. The Ravens had not lost at home during the 2025 season, and on Sunday afternoon, they proved once again why they’re considered one of the top teams in the entire league.
The first half of the game was a tightly contested battle. Both defenses were performing at a high level, and the Ravens led by just one possession at halftime – 14–6. After the break, however, the hosts picked up the pace. Munich’s offense kicked into high gear, steadily gaining yards and ultimately securing a well-deserved 34–14 victory.
Panthers Wrocław had their moments in the game. Wide receiver Darrell Stewart Jr. was in top form, racking up nearly 130 receiving yards, a touchdown, and a successful two-point conversion. Quarterback DJ Irons and running back Dawid Brzozowski added effective rushing plays, while linebacker AJ Wentland recorded an impressive 18 tackles. Despite these bright spots, the Panthers couldn’t overcome a disciplined and consistent Munich Ravens team.
“In the first half, we executed our game plan fairly well, especially on defense – at least from what I saw from the sideline,” commented Panthers receiver Przemysław Banat. “Offensively, we lacked execution. We shot ourselves in the foot at key moments – with missed passing concepts, protection issues, or unnecessary flags. These are things we need to fix as players. It’s not about one person being at fault – we all can do better. For the last two games, we have to go in with the mindset that there’s no room for mistakes. That’s the approach we had today, but we couldn’t fully carry it out.”
“We have two games left in the regular season, and we know we can win them,” added linebacker AJ Wentland. “The goal remains the same: reach the playoffs and compete for the championship. Panthers Nation – we need your support during these final weeks of the regular season! Go Panthers!”
