Juniors to Play for the Polish Championship Gold!

This coming Saturday marks the final game of the 2025 season in the Polish Junior Football League. At the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław, Panthers Juniors will face Warsaw Mets in the national championship game. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Road to the Final

The young Wrocław squad bulldozed their way through the regular season. Four decisive victories — against Hunters Tarnów, Tychy Falcons, Silesia Rebels Katowice, and Kraków Kings — secured them first place in the Southern Group and a playoff berth.
In the semifinals, Panthers crushed Rhinos Wyszków 42–0 in front of their home crowd. Thanks to the best points-for and points-against ratio in the league, the final will be played at their home venue — the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław.

Offense Making History

The offensive unit of Panthers Juniors has been gaining momentum with each game and has now reached peak form. Both in the running and passing game, they effectively gain yards and are lethal in the red zone.

At quarterback, Wojciech Rybicki leads the team as a dual-threat playmaker. Together with running back Jan Wroński, they form an unstoppable rushing duo.
The strong offensive line and high-performing running backs allow the Panthers to lean heavily on their ground game, while tight ends and dynamic wide receivers also contribute significantly, posing major challenges for opposing defenses.

The Wrocław offense now faces its final test. If they can move the ball, score points, and avoid turnovers, local fans can be confident about the outcome.

“We’ve faced the Warsaw Mets in two championship games already — we’re tied 1–1, and of course I’d love for that record to shift to 2–1 in our favor. Mets stormed through the regular season, winning their group with an impressive point differential. In their semifinal against Kraków Kings, they showed great character and the ability to capitalize on every mistake.
We already played them this year during a summer camp scrimmage, so we know firsthand what they’re capable of.
From our perspective, we’ve achieved the minimum goal — we’re exactly where we wanted to be. Our players have had a full season of experience, which makes me proud. Game by game, they’re improving, making fewer mistakes, and functioning as one cohesive unit.
The players understand that success comes from the team as a whole, not individual performances — and that’s very encouraging.
Of course, I’d be lying if I said we don’t want to win this game. We’re determined to get revenge for last year’s final. Many of our guys still remember that game, and I’m sure they’ll do everything they can to reclaim the title and hang that gold medal around their necks.”
Miłosz Maćków, Head Coach, Panthers Juniors

“We’ve got one week of preparation left. Our routine stays the same — fieldwork, film study, and mental focus. The mental part cost us last year, so we’re paying close attention to that now.
Our mindset doesn’t change — we give 100% no matter who we play. Sure, there’s been a rivalry with Mets over the last two years, but we can’t let that distract us. Staying calm is key.
The game plan is simple: play clean, effective football. That’s what’s worked for us all season. This isn’t the time to experiment with new plays.
We expect Mets to run more complex schemes, which might lead to mistakes — something we’ll look to exploit.
We invite everyone to come out and support us — your energy means a lot, and in return, we’ll give you the best game we can.”
Kacper Chorążewski, Offensive Leader, Panthers Juniors

Defense Wins Championships

While the offense’s job is to score points, it’s the defense that often seals the victory. The unit, coordinated by Przemysław Lewszyk, is widely considered the best in the country.

With three solid defensive lines, stopping both the run and the pass is rarely a problem. The Panthers’ defenders not only force turnovers and pressure opposing quarterbacks but even score points themselves. Over the entire season, they’ve scored 12 points and allowed just 18 — an impressive record.

On Saturday, however, they face their toughest challenge yet — stopping the most productive offense in Poland.

“We’re coming into the final highly motivated and fired up. Mets have the league’s best offense, while our defense is the best in Poland — so it’s shaping up to be a tight game that may be decided in the final minutes.
From a defensive standpoint, we’re excited to face such a strong opponent. We’ve only given up 18 points this season, scoring 12 ourselves. We haven’t faced an offense this efficient yet, so it’ll be a valuable and tough test.
Does the game rest on our shoulders? Maybe a little. They say offense sells tickets, but defense wins championships. If we can give our offense good field position, they’ll do their job and put points on the board.”
Przemysław Lewszyk, Defensive Coordinator, Panthers Juniors

“We’re preparing for this final like any other game — watching a lot of film and looking for weaknesses. My mindset, and the team’s, stays the same: the only thing that matters is winning.
Personally, this game is huge for me — a chance to redeem myself after last year’s final, which I couldn’t finish due to injury.
We expect a strong offensive performance from Mets, with several very athletic players.
I invite everyone to the game — it’s going to be a great football show filled with emotions. I guarantee we’ll give everything we have from the first to the last play.”
Alex Okrasa, Defensive Leader, Panthers Juniors
