After a tough game, Panthers Wrocław fell 13–45 to the Prague Lions at the Olympic Stadium. Next week, the Polish representatives in the European League of Football will play again, this time in Germany against the Cologne Centurions.
Result Below Expectations
In their third game of the 2025 European League of Football season, the Wrocław side hosted the Czech Prague Lions in front of their own fans. The home team got off to a promising start, turning their first possession into a touchdown, but with each subsequent series the visitors from Prague began to seize control and dominate at the Olympic Stadium. The Panthers struggled in almost every phase of the game, particularly on defense, where they could not contain the in-form Willie Patterson. The Lions’ American wide receiver delivered an outstanding performance, recording as many as five touchdowns. Panthers Wrocław fought to respond—touchdowns by Dawid Brzozowski and Ott Eric Ottender narrowed the gap—but on this day the Prague team proved simply too strong to challenge for victory.
“We didn’t play very well. Our offense had problems all game long. On special teams, we gave up far too many returns. Defensively, we held on for a while, but eventually ran out of steam because our defense was on the field for most of the game. We need to regroup, analyze everything, and focus on what we can improve so that next week we can perform better,” commented Craig Kuligowski, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.
