Dawid Brzozowski stays with the Panthers for the 2026 season!

Dawid Brzozowski has signed a new contract with Panthers Wrocław, confirming that the Lower Silesian team's leader will remain with the club for the 2026 season. This decision serves as a crucial reinforcement for the offensive unit and underscores the Wrocław organization's ambitions for the upcoming AFLE - The League Europe campaign.

Dawid Brzozowski's story is a prime example of how hard work leads to success. Although the athlete was born and raised in Italy, he took his first steps in American football in Poland, playing for the Bielawa Owls. His extraordinary talent and explosiveness quickly caught the attention of the Panthers Wrocław coaching staff, leading him to join the roster ahead of the 2022 season. Since then, Dawid has consistently represented the club in elite European competitions, becoming a cornerstone of the team and a first-choice player for the coaches when building their starting lineup.

The breakthrough moment of his career came in 2023, when he rushed for 1,116 yards and scored 12 touchdowns over the course of the season. These stats earned Brzozowski the title of the best running back in Europe and the prestigious Homegrown of the Year award in the ELF. The following year, he pushed his performance even further, recording 1,119 yards and 8 touchdowns. Last season, he added another 770 yards and 12 rushing touchdowns to his tally. Over four seasons, across 699 carries, he has amassed a total of 3,684 yards and 35 touchdowns.

The consistency and numbers Dawid has produced over recent years command immense respect and are tangible proof of how vital he is to the Panthers Wrocław organization. Keeping such a leader in the squad for 2026 is a clear signal that the Wrocław "Panthers" intend to fight for the title of the best team on the Old Continent.

Every year, you perform at an exceptionally high level, dominating your rivals on European fields. What was the deciding factor in your choice to continue your career here in Wrocław?

The answer is simple-Panthers Wrocław is my second home. I am proud to represent this organization as a Homegrown player. It is one of the best clubs in Europe, providing me with everything I need to develop as an athlete. 

How is your preparation for the upcoming season going?

During the off-season, I focus primarily on building strength, muscle mass, and recovery. I spend most of my time in the gym, but I also make sure to have regular on-field sessions and consistent physiotherapy to ensure I’m in peak form for the start of the season.

You are living proof that a Polish player can be a top athlete in an international league. What path should a young Polish footballer take to follow in your footsteps?

Unfortunately, there is no single, universal recipe for success. Every player writes their own story, with different goals, motivations, and limitations. However, if I were to point out the factors that helped me get to this point, they would be: the support of my loved ones, a strong work ethic, and humility.

How do you evaluate the new Panthers signings? In your opinion, does this roster have the potential to improve offensive efficiency compared to last season?

The roster moves look great, and I can't wait for us to start training together. The team's potential is enormous, and every one of us wants to prove that on the field. I think our offensive performance will surprise many defenses in the league.

Which defense in the AFLE do you think will be your biggest challenge, and which away game are you looking forward to the most?

We will be facing many teams for the first time, so it’s hard to predict who will set the bar the highest. However, the Vikings-whom I know well-will definitely be among the top contenders. As for away games, I’m most excited about the match in Florence. It’s connected to my roots-I was born and spent my childhood in Italy.
