This year's season of the European League of Football is definitely not going according to Panthers Wrocław's intention. The Polish representatives are third in the table of the northern conference with three wins and six defeats on their account. Despite the fact that the team from Wrocław is able to compete with the league leaders, the lack of finishing and single mistakes in each game prevent them from achieving victories that were often within reach. Wroclaw, however, assure that they are constantly working on improving these aspects, which they intend to show in the game against Leipzig Kings.
- The competition in the European League of Football is a completely different level. Here, even the smallest mistake can take revenge, as we have seen, among others in the last game against Berlin Thunder. However, we have shown more than once that we can play as equal even to the toughest rivals, and therefore also in the game against Leipzig Kings we are going to prove once again that we belong to the European leaders. I can say that both the coaching staff and the players will do their best to leave Leipzig with another victory and show their true character. We want to end this season as well as possible, because three defeats ended with a difference of a few points altogether - leave a huge dissatisfaction - says Jakub Głogowski, General Manager Panthers Wrocław.
The Panthers will take on the Leipzig Kings for the second time this season. The Wrocław team defeated the guests from Germany 34:27 at the inauguration of the tournament. Both Panthers and Kings no longer have a chance of advancing to the play-off stage, so the stake on Sunday's meeting - in the end - can only be the third place in the table of the northern conference. Nevertheless, the Polish representatives will approach this meeting in the strongest line-up and with great motivation to add more points to their achievements.
- We are aware that the train marked "Play-offs" has departed, but we still have the motivation to fight for the highest position in the final classification. We intend to show our best side in Leipzig and play great football in each formation - says Michał Latoś, President of the Management Board of Panthers Wrocław.
Polish fans will be able to watch the away game between Panthers Wrocław and Leipzig Kings on Sunday, August 21st from 15:00 on Polsat Sport Extra.
