A Polish–Czech Showdown
The “Panthers” return to European competition after a two-week hiatus. A bye week is the perfect opportunity to recover and draw lessons ahead of upcoming games. So far, Wrocław has played two matches in the 2025 ELF season. They won their opener against the Fehérvár Enthroners, but in the second game they fell to the Nordic Storm. Now our representatives face their third game of the season as the Czech side—the Prague Lions—comes to the Olympic Stadium. This will be crucial for the balance of power in the league standings, since the Lions, like the Panthers, belong to the Eastern Division. The team from Czechia has already played three games—one more than the Panthers. In their first two outings, both at home against the Vienna Vikings and the Hamburg Sea Devils, the Lions suffered defeats. However, just last week they dominated the Fehérvár Enthroners on the road by a 40-point margin. The Prague Lions are a completely different team compared to previous seasons. Although the Panthers Wrocław have won all past encounters against Czech representatives, given the Lions’ current form, we can expect an exceptionally thrilling battle at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław.
“The bye week is behind us. Rest is always welcome in this sport, and it’s a chance to heal some minor and more significant injuries. We learned the lessons from our last game, which could have gone our way if not for the mistakes we made. But right now, we’re focused on the next challenge. The Prague Lions are a much better team than last year: they have stronger imports, especially American players, and their defense seems far superior to previous seasons. Our mindset doesn’t change—regardless of the opponent, we’re aiming for victory, and we know how important this game is for our entire season. As every week, we guarantee good football and will give our all to defend our home turf and emerge with a 2–1 record after this match.”
