Wrocław couldn't overcome Vienna. Panthers lose away game

Panthers Wrocław have reached the halfway point of their European League of Football campaign. In the 6th round, the Polish team couldn't defeat the European champions from two years ago and fell to the Vienna Vikings 25-37. Next weekend, the Panthers will host guests from the Czech Republic – the Prague Lions.

The Battle for Vienna

The Panthers Wrocław vs. Vienna Vikings game was the 6th round game of the European League of Football and the first rematch for the Wrocław team this season. In Wrocław, the Vienna team proved to be slightly better, taking a three-point lead in the final minutes of the game. During Saturday's rematch in Austria, the Vikings again came out on top, solidifying their position as leaders of the ELF's eastern conference.

The Polish representatives managed to compete with last year's semifinalists and were close to taking the lead several times, but the Vienna team held on to their victory. Touchdowns for Wrocław were scored by Devan Burrell, Gennadiy Adams, and Adria Botella Moreno, who scored twice.

Our team had its moments, and we had several opportunities to take the lead. However, the Vikings are a tough and demanding opponent. Despite the loss, we are not stopping, and we want our fans to enjoy a victory at our home field next week. We are immediately moving on to analysis and preparations for the game against the Prague Lions – said Dave Christensen, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

Return to the Olympic Stadium

The next game for Wrocław will be at home next weekend – on Sunday, July 7th at 16:25, they will host the Prague Lions at the Olympic Stadium. Tickets for this game are available at Ticketmaster.pl. The game will be broadcast from 16:20 on Polsat Sport 3, Polsat Box Go, and on the league's streaming platform.
