The General is here! Meet Panthers QB1

One of the most anticipated names in the 2023 Panthers roster has been revealed!

With the name of the new quarterback for the European League of Football season, we close the list of four American reinforcements allowed in the upcoming 2023 season. Solomon Brown (Defensive Line), Artevius Smith (Defensive Back) and Brenton Martin (Wide Receiver) are joined by the last element - quarterback Nik Rango!

Nik Rango, Quarterback, Hudson Valley Vikings

As assumed by the fans and finally confirmed by the coaching staff led by coach Dave Christensen, it is the 24-year-old American to lead our offense in the third season of the European League of Football. Rango is a 188 centimeter, 91 kilogram left-handed quarterback with a baseball background. Despite his young age, he holds several school records, and during his last season he passed for over 2,000 yards and thirteen touchdowns in ten games. Thanks to his game, Rango was noticed by the scouts and coaches of the Albany University's first division team - UAlbany Great Danes, in which colors however, he did not play a season in the NCAA due to COVID restrictions.

Since finishing school, Rango has participated in individual training sessions with Canadian Football League (CFL) teams, before finally signing a professional contract with Virginia Armada in the Major League of Football, which canceled the entire 2022 season due to financial problems.

Rango also took part in the HUB camp - designed for players aspiring to play at a professional level, still sharpening his skills, which we will have a chance to witness this upcoming June at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław!

Why did you choose to join the Panthers in the European League of Football?

I chose to join the Panthers to travel the world, develop new relationships with teammates as well as coaches, and be a part of a team with a common mindset of winning a championship.

How would you describe your playing style?

I would describe myself as a true competitor who will do whatever it takes to win. I also pride myself on being able to make any throw on the football field with accuracy.

What can the Panthers fans and your teammates expect on and off the field?

They can expect a guy who comes to work everyday prepared with a goal to be the best teammate I can possibly be.

Couple words to the fans?

I'm so excited for the opportunity to be a part of this great organization. I look forward to playing in front of you! Let’s go win a championship!
