Tarczyński Arena defended! Panthers Wrocław crush Berlin Thunder!

Panthers Wrocław crushed the German team Berlin Thunder 50-12 in an AFLE - The League Europe blockbuster match. Thanks to this victory, the Wrocław side solidified their position as the runner-up in the South-Eastern Conference and confirmed their spot among the absolute elite of European competition.

The Wrocław team got off to a phenomenal start, converting all four of their opening offensive possessions into touchdowns. The scoring run was kicked off by the reliable Mike Harley Jr., with Jameson Wang, Kacper Jaszewski, and Kamil Kotlarz adding further points to the board. Thanks to an outstanding team-wide performance, the Panthers went into halftime with an impressive 30-0 lead.

In the third and fourth quarters, Dave Likins’ squad steadily extended their advantage. Juan Flores-Calderon and Maciej Krupa both found the end zone, while Kacper Jaszewski recorded his second touchdown of the game.

The Wrocław team's offense was firing on all cylinders. Quarterback Jameson Wang finished the game with five passing touchdowns, while the rushing unit racked up a total of 287 yards and two touchdowns. The defense also put on a stellar performance, highlighted by an interception from Adam Lary. This spectacular victory over Berlin Thunder strengthened Panthers Wrocław's hold on second place in the South-Eastern Conference and sealed their position in the top 3 teams in the AFLE.

This is a world-class stadium; playing here is pure pleasure. The atmosphere and the fans' support were amazing! Adam Lary was a leader on the field today, he did a fantastic job. It’s also great to have Dawid Brzozowski on the roster—he is very important to us. Now we have a bye week ahead, so the players will get some time off, but they’ll be back early next week to start preparing for the next matchup.”  - comments Dave Likins, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

Every single time we play here, it’s a massive event for me. The biggest stadium in the city, in the entire region. It’s an awesome feeling! As for the game itself... I kept saying from the very beginning that the most important thing was for our defense to play at a high level, as we knew their offense was strong. We were also confident that we could score a lot of points on offense, and that’s exactly what we did. The coaches prepared us well for this showdown, and it paid off!”  -  adds Rafał Rogaczewski, center for Panthers Wrocław.

Sunday’s clash at the Tarczyński Arena will go down in history as a special day for American football in Wrocław - not only because of the scoreline but also due to the incredible atmosphere in the stands. Panthers Nation put on a true show, carrying the team with loud cheering from the opening whistle to the final whistle.

A Trip to Italy and the Grand Return to the Olympic Stadium

The Panthers Wrocław players now head into a well-deserved bye week. They will return to European action on Sunday, June 28, when they travel to face the Firenze Red Lions.

Meanwhile, the Panthers will play their next home game on Saturday, July 4, at the Olympic Stadium, where they will host the Paris Lights. The club has already announced that alongside the sporting thrills, fans can look forward to a unique, American-style celebration. A special fan zone will be set up at the stadium, featuring food trucks, a kids' zone with inflatables, numerous surprises, and meet-and-greets with the team mascots. It is the perfect opportunity to spend time with the whole family and experience the exceptional atmosphere of a Panthers Wrocław game up close.
