Stumble in Hamburg. Panthers Wrocław lose to the vice champions.
Four victories and two defeats - that's the record of Panthers Wrocław after the latest round of the European League of Football. Despite winning their first game, the Wrocław team lost 10-17 to the Hamburg Sea Devils in an away game. Next week, the Polish representatives will travel to Vienna to face the European champions.

Successful revenge by the Sea Devils

In the 6th round of the European League of Football, Panthers Wrocław faced the Hamburg Sea Devils in a highly anticipated away game. In the first game, the Wrocław team came out on top, defeating the German guests 34-25 in front of their home crowd. This time, the roles were reversed, and the Hamburg team celebrated victory.

The Polish-German clash was highly competitive. It started with an interception by the new defensive back of Panthers Wrocław, Daniel Bender. Shortly after, Panthers Wrocław took a 7-0 lead thanks to a long pass by Matthew Vitale to Tony Tate in the end zone. The Wrocław team went into halftime leading 7-3. However, in the second half, the hosts took control and scored two touchdowns. Jakub Ałdaś also made accurate kicks for 3 points once again.

The team from Hamburg was definitely within our reach. We know where we made mistakes and what we need to do to fix them. Now we immediately focus on preparing for the game against the Vienna Vikings. The Austrians are the current champions, so we attach great importance to this game. If you want to be a champion, you have to defeat the champion – said Dave Christensen, the head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

Trip to Vienna

Panthers Wrocław will embark on a long journey to the capital of Austria on the next Saturday. On July 15th (Saturday) at 6:00 PM, the Wrocław team will play an away game against the current European champions, the Vienna Vikings, in a top-of-the-conference clash in the ELF Eastern Conference. This match, like all other Panthers Wrocław games, can be followed on the Polsat sports channels, with coverage starting at 5:55 PM on Polsat Sport Extra and Gamepass.
