Modern Stadium

Tarczyński Arena is a modern stadium with a capacity of approximately 44 thousand fans, built specifically for the UEFA Euro 2012 football championship. Typically, it is the home ground for the players of Śląsk Wrocław. The stadium features comfortable stands with a great view of the field, an attractive VIP area, its own parking, and excellent transportation links.

Easy Access

Regarding car transportation, it's easy to reach Wrocław from Germany via the A4 highway. The travel time is only: 2 hours and 49 minutes from Dresden (268 km), 3 hours and 51 minutes from Berlin (346 km), and 3 hours and 58 minutes from Leipzig (373 km).

Tarczyński Arena is located away from the city center, making it easy to reach directly from the highway. On-site parking is available.

Wrocław can also be easily reached by buses (e.g., Flixbus, Sindbad) or trains (Deutsche Bahn, Koleje Dolnośląskie, PKP Intercity), as well as by plane (the airport is 15 minutes away from the stadium).

Ticket Prices

Ticket prices in Poland are several times lower than in Germany. A standard ticket for a game costs from 37 to 47 PLN, which is only about 8-10 €, depending on the seat. Students will pay even less (around 31 PLN, or 7 euros), and children aged 7-13 will pay around 10 PLN, or 2 €. Children below 6 years old enter the game for free. Tickets are available for purchase on the Ticketmaster website.

A VIP ticket, including business class seats, catering access, and the best view of the field, costs 210 PLN, which is only 48 € – less than the regular ticket prices for games in Germany. For comparison, VIP tickets for Hamburg Sea Devils games cost 229 € (almost 1000 PLN)!

Low Prices

Before your arrival, don't forget to exchange Euros for Polish Złoty. The Polish currency is significantly cheaper, so on-site prices for foreign guests are very attractive.

The average price of a large restaurant meal is about 40 PLN, or 9 €. Beer in a restaurant costs 10 PLN, or about 2 €. Of course, prices in grocery stores are much lower than in restaurants. A typical pack of Tarczyński kabanosy in a store costs about 8 PLN, or about 1.80 €.

Prices for various attractions, such as museum tickets, are also low. A visit to Centennial Hall costs 25 PLN (about 5 €), a combined ticket for the Racławice Panorama and three other museums, including the National Museum, costs 50 PLN (about 11 €), and entrance to the Zoo is around 70 PLN (about 16 €). Hotel prices are also very attractive.

In most places, you can pay with both cash and card.

City Transportation

Wrocław has an extensive public transportation network, including buses and trams. Tarczyński Arena can be reached by trams 3, 10, 20, 21, 18, and buses 101, 102, 103, 104, 123, 127, 243, 245, 253. Public transportation from the stadium to the city center takes about 20 minutes, while by car, it takes 10 minutes.

The same tickets are valid for trams and buses. They can be purchased at machines at some stops, online in the JakDojade app, and inside all buses and trams, but only with a debit or credit card (not cash).

For getting around the city, we recommend installing the JakDojade app, which easily shows you how to get to every place in Wrocław.

Another good option is moving around the city using taxis or Uber and Bolt apps. You can also rent a car, e.g., through the Panek or Traficar apps. In Wrocław, you can also rent electric scooters and bicycles.

Plenty of Attractions

Wrocław is a beautiful and modern city full of attractions. In addition to the game, you should definitely visit Wrocław's Market Square and Ostrów Tumski (The Cathedral Island) – the two biggest attractions in the city, as well as stroll along the Oder boulevards, admiring the famous Wrocław bridges, such as the Grunwaldzki Bridge. In addition, it is worth seeing Centennial Hall, the Zoo, Racławice Panorama, the National Museum, the Opera, or Hydropolis, and also follow the trail of the famous Wrocław dwarfs, of which there are several hundred throughout the city.

If you have more time, we recommend spending your entire vacation in Lower Silesia – the region with Wrocław as its capital. In addition to Wrocław's attractions, it is worth visiting the local mountains – the Sudetes. The most interesting mountain towns are Szklarska Poręba and Karpacz, from which beautiful trails lead to Szrenica and Śnieżka. It is also worth seeing Książ Castle in Wałbrzych, the Bear Cave in Kletno, the Silver Mountain Fortress, or the Riese complex. A bit closer, you can also visit the Peace Church in Świdnica, the Skull Chapel in Kudowa-Zdrój, Lake Bystrzyckie in Zagórze Śląskie, or go for a pontoon rafting in Bardo.
