Gabe Landa returns to the coaching staff of Panthers Wrocław, but in an entirely new role. The former wide receiver coach will take on the role of offensive coordinator for the Wrocław team in the 2024 season.
Gabe Landa is another name from the previous season who will be part of Panthers Wrocław's lineup in the upcoming year. Due to his excellent work with the wide receivers in the past season, Landa has been promoted to the position of offensive coordinator in the coaching staff led by head coach Dave Christensen.
– We are excited to have Coach Landa back on staff again for the 2024 season. Gabe did a tremendous job working with our QBs and WRs last season. I am also very pleased to be able to promote Coach Landa to the position of Offensive Coordinator. He has demonstrated a great knowledge of the game and is on the same page as me when it comes to our offensive philosophy. Gabe is ready for this next step in his coaching career – said Christensen.
Before joining the Polish team, Landa gained experience in coaching at Arizona State Sun Devils, a team from the NCAA's first division. It's worth noting that Sam Gooding was announced as the new offensive line coach for Wrocław just a week ago.
How your role will change next season?
I was originally brought onto the staff last off-season to coach the wide receivers and quarterbacks, and I enjoyed every part of that experience. Now as the offensive coordinator I am eager and excited to build upon the foundation that was established in 2023. We had a very productive offense last season, but we are making the changes necessary to increase our offensive production even more. I will be back in Wrocław next year but in the meantime I am putting together our offensive coaching staff, recruiting players to reinforce our roster, as well as evaluating our offensive scheme from last season.
What are your expectations for the upcoming season? What do you think about our team?
Making the playoffs in our first season as a staff was a tremendous accomplishment, and I attribute that to the team culture we have. Our players and staff have completely committed to the vision set by Coach Christensen. But we know we came up short of the ultimate goal of winning a championship. The Panthers are hungry to get back into the season and are already hard at work in our off-season program to become bigger, faster, and stronger in 2024.
What message do you have for the fans?
I have felt so welcomed in Wrocław, it has been my home for almost a year. I have thoroughly enjoyed submerging myself into the culture, meeting the people, enjoying the food, and I am always looking to improve my Polish language skills. To our fans, thank you for your tremendous support! Although I have only been a Panther for one season I feel the energy from all 10 seasons buzzing around the program. I am excited to get back to Wrocław and begin the next chapter.
