QB1 on site. Matthew Vitale joins Panthers Wrocław!

Panthers Wrocław have announced the name of their starting quarterback for the 2023 season. Leading the offense for the representatives of Poland in the European League of Football will be Matthew Vitale, a player with experience at the highest collegiate level in the USA.

The new quarterback for the Panthers Wrocław has a background playing for the Jackson State Tigers in the NCAA Division I. The 26-year-old earned numerous accolades during his time in the United States, including the MVP award for the California Football Conference and two nominations for the AAC All-Academic Team. Matthew Vitale will replace Nik Rango in Panthers Wrocław's lineup, as the club recently terminated his contract.

I joined Panthers Wrocław to compete for the European League of Football championship. Everyone in the organization shares the same goal and that aligns perfectly with me. Playing in the European league is a great honor for me. The opportunity to play abroad and compete professionally in football is an incredible chance that I want to fully utilize. Wrocław is a great place for career development, and we have excellent coaches and players whom I trust completely. I am looking forward to being a part of a very special and legendary season – says Vitale himself.

Matthew Vitale is the final foreign player in Panthers Wrocław's roster for the 2023 season. Alongside him, the Wrocław team has also signed three players from the United States – Tony Tate (WR), Artevius Smith (DB), and Solomon Brown (DL).

Panthers Wrocław will begin their European League of Football campaign with a home game against the Hamburg Sea Devils on June 3rd at 5:00 PM at the Olympic Stadium. Tickets for this event are already on sale.
