Polish coach in the NFL! Jakub Samel is heading to Cleveland Browns

Jakub Samel is heading to the United States. The Sports Director of Panthers Wrocław will take part in the preseason camp of the Cleveland Browns, one of the teams in the NFL. This is the first time in history that a Polish coach has received an invitation from a team in the wealthiest league in the world.

Samel will spend two weeks in the United States. The head coach of the Polish national American football team will participate not only in the NFL preseason camp but also in two preseason games with the Cleveland Browns. The experience gained overseas is intended to contribute to raising the level of training for domestic players.

– I am very grateful to head coach Kevin Stefanski for inviting me to the Cleveland Browns' preseason camp, and to the Panthers Wrocław organization and owner for enabling me to make this trip. It's an incredible opportunity for me to continue developing my skills, gaining knowledge from a coaching staff at the highest global level. In the USA, I will not only observe the work of coaches but also the approach of players and the entire organization to all aspects of team preparation. I want to make the most of this unique opportunity so that I can later pass on the acquired knowledge – says Jakub Samel.

The American team plays their games at the Cleveland Browns Stadium, which can accommodate over 73,000 spectators. In addition, they have an ultra-modern training base in Ohio.

The Sports Director of Panthers Wrocław has previously received invitations to training camps in the United States. In 2018, he participated in preparations for the college season with the Troy University team in Alabama, and in 2019, he honed his skills at West Virginia University.
