Only a few months remain until the start of the 2025 season of the Polish Football League.
After a four-year absence from domestic fields, the club's management has decided to establish an additional section of the Panthers, aimed at developing young players by giving them the opportunity to play and gain invaluable on-field experience. This developmental section is not just a new path for players aspiring to compete in the main roster of the European League of Football; it is also a training hub for Polish coaches, who will have the chance to develop under the guidance of Jakub Samel, undoubtedly the most experienced coach in the country. Coach Jakub Samel, apart from his experience in the European League of Football, has previously collaborated with the Cleveland Browns and New England Patriots in the NFL and is currently the head coach of the Polish National Team.
Samel's coaching staff will include Polish coaches, who have been seen in various configurations and roles over the years:
Miłosz Maćków, Offensive Coordinator
Miłosz Maćków, the head coach of the Panthers Juniors, will be responsible for tactically leading the Panthers' offense in the fight for the Polish Championship! Miłosz Maćków began his football journey in 2012 with the Wrocław Giants and ended his playing career after the 2023 season in the European League of Football. Alongside his playing career, he has been involved in the development of the junior section as head coach since 2016, taking over from Jakub Samel, and gained experience with the Panthers B staff. Most recently, Maćków completed another season as head coach of the Panthers Juniors, adding a PFL-J runner-up title to his achievements.
Jakub Wąsiel, Wide Receivers / Running Backs
Jakub Wąsiel began playing for the Panthers as a junior in 2014 and continued through the Panthers B team to play until 2021 in the ELF. As a player with significant experience at various levels, he quickly integrated into Miłosz Maćków’s coaching staff at the Panthers Juniors, where he focused on the technical preparation of wide receivers and further developed his knowledge of offensive systems.
Training sessions for the Panthers' development team began a few weeks ago. For now, the primary task of the coaches is to evaluate players, prepare an appropriate game system, and physically condition the players for intense training sessions that will start in early January.
