Panthers Wrocław to take on the European champions in Vienna

After facing the European runners-up in the last round of the European League of Football, Panthers Wrocław will travel to Vienna this Saturday to challenge the champions. On July 15th, the Polish representatives will play away against the undefeated Vienna Vikings this season. The Wrocław team promises to fight for victory.

Defeating the champions

With a record of 4-2, Panthers Wrocław currently share the second position in the Eastern Conference table of the European League of Football. In the last round, the Wrocław team suffered a 10-17 defeat against the European runners-up, the Hamburg Sea Devils, in a highly contested game. On Saturday, the Polish team will face another challenge, a confrontation with the reigning European champions and leaders of the Eastern Conference, the Vienna Vikings.

– We are preparing very meticulously for the game against the Vienna Vikings. We have great respect for the Austrian team - we know that our opponents have been performing excellently this season. Our goal for the 2023 season remains unchanged, so on Saturday, we will do everything to win. If you want to become a champion, you have to defeat the champion – announces Dave Christensen, the head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

So far, Panthers Wrocław and Vienna Vikings have faced each other twice, with both teams sharing victories. This year, both teams will play against each other for the first time.
