Panthers Wrocław suffer defeat after an epic battle in Berlin
Panthers Wrocław fell to Berlin Thunder after the longest game in European League history. The clash required a record-breaking six overtime rounds to determine the winner. Now, the "Panthers" face two remaining games in the regular season.

A Great Battle in Berlin

The rematch between Panthers Wrocław and Berlin Thunder took place as part of the 12th round of the European League of Football. In their first encounter, it was the Wrocław team that celebrated victory.

The game in Berlin ended in a 23-23 tie in regulation time, necessitating overtime to break the deadlock. After a record six overtime rounds, the German team finally triumphed 36-34. The standout performer for Wrocław was the sensational running back Dawid Brzozowski, who scored the most points. Unfortunately, Panthers Wrocław have now lost their chance to advance to the European League of Football playoffs.

Our team played a physical, selfless, and competitive game on Sunday. The efforts of our team members were incredible. It was unfortunate that anyone had to lose such a close, competitive match. However, we fell short in the end. We look forward with great excitement to playing our last home game in front of our tremendous fans. We appreciate you. Come cheer on the Panthers to victory on Sunday! – commented Craig Kuligowski, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.

The "Panthers" Play On

The next game—second to last in the European League season and the final one at the Olympic Stadium—will see Panthers Wrocław face off against Frankfurt Galaxy on August 18th. Tickets for the game are available on Ticketmaster. The game will be broadcast on Polsat Sport 3, Polsat Box Go, and the league's streaming platform.
