Panthers Juniors Advance to the PFL-J Final!

The semifinal matchup of the Polish Junior Football League is behind us, and the young players of Panthers Wrocław delivered a dominant performance, defeating Rhinos Wyszków 42–0. With this victory, the Panthers have advanced to the championship game, which will take place in two weeks at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław.

From the very beginning, the Wrocław team completely controlled their opponents from Mazovia. After the first quarter, the “Panthers” were already leading 22–0. Both the offense and defense played an excellent game. The offense scored a total of 42 points!
Jan Wroński, who earned the MVP title, recorded two touchdowns, while Wojciech Rybicki, Maciej Banaszewski, Eryk Grzesiak, and Maxim Mikkita each added one.

While the offense shined, the defense was equally impressive they did not allow a single point, constantly putting pressure on the Rhinos’ offense and forcing multiple errors. As a result, the Wyszków team was unable to keep up, and Panthers deservedly claimed the win. For the fourth year in a row, the team from Wrocław will compete for the Polish Junior Championship title in American football.

“It was an amazing game. From the start we knew there was no room for mistakes, as the final was at stake. The weather conditions weren’t ideal, but we showed that nothing can stop us from achieving what we’ve worked for all season. Even though it was a semifinal, we proved that our opponent couldn’t match us, which led to a 42–0 score. I’m happy about the MVP title, but I have to praise the entire team this was the result of our hard work and teamwork, and all the sweat we’ve poured into training.
Respect to Rhinos for reaching the semifinals and putting up a fight they made things difficult for us at times, but now they’ll have to battle for third place. We move forward; we’ve earned our spot in the final, but that’s not enough we’re going for gold. Amen,”
said Jan Wroński, running back of Panthers Juniors.

“We knew Rhinos would come into this game highly motivated, so from the very first quarter we imposed our tempo and didn’t allow them to do much. Our offense moved the ball efficiently, and our defense quickly ended their offensive drives. Thankfully, there were no injuries, but we did make some mistakes that we’ll definitely need to fix before the final,”
added Przemysław Lewszyk, defensive coordinator of Panthers Juniors.
