Panthers athletes on the TOP100 list of the European League of Football

The European League of Football has decided to honor seven players from Panthers Wrocław in its ranking of the hundred best athletes of the past season. One of the newest acquisitions of the Polish club has also made it onto the list. What positions did the Wrocław players secure?

The TOP100 ranking by the European League of Football is based on statistics collected throughout the 2023 season and expert opinions. The data comes from the SportsMetrics service. Each position in the ranking has been justified.

#70 Matthew Vitale

Vitale was one of the biggest surprises of last season. The college journeyman ended up completing 60% of his passes for 1773 yards and 20 touchdowns with five interceptions. Vitale also rushed for 110 yards. His performances were a major reason for the Panthers playoff berth.

#69 Timi Nuikka

Playing the best season of any defensive Rookie, Finish linebacker Timi Nuikka turned into an overnight star during his first season in the ELF. The 22-year-old recorded 91 total tackles, nine tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, a fumble recovery, and a pick six for the Panthers, with his performances earning him the Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.

#57 Jakub Ałdaś

Wrocław Panthers kicker Jakub Ałdaś had quite a season for guy that never kicked a football before. The 27-year-old was the most accurate in the ELF last season, scoring on 86.2% of his kicks. Ałdaś’ 74 points ranked third amongst kicker in the European League of Football, earning him a Second-Team All-Star selection.

#53 Tony Tate

Tony Tate was well on pace to shatter the single-season receiving touchdown record, before an injury ended his season prematurely. Despite not playing a full season, the speedy receiver turned his 39 catches into 895 yards and 16 touchdowns, earning him a First-Team All-Star selection and a nomination for Offensive Player of the Year.

#27 AJ Wentland


AJ Wentland showed once again that he is a true tackling machine in 2023. Despite only playing nine games, Wentland ranked third in the league with 112 total tackles, earning him another First-Team All-Star selection.

#21 Devan Burrell* (*new player)


Devan Burrell has been a good defensive back for the Leipzig Kings and Milano Seamen in 2023, recording 63 tackles, a tackle for loss, seven PBUs and three interceptions, but it was the return game, where he really excelled. Burrell returned kicks and punts for a combined 1.820 yards and an insane seven touchdowns, setting new ELF records all over the place and winning the Special Teams Player of the Year Award by a landslide.

#17 Solomon Brown

Solomon Brown turned into a star player for the Wrocław Panthers in 2023. The two-time FCS All-American recorded 75 total tackles, while also leading the team with 5.5 sacks and 11 tackles for loss. Additionally, Brown broke up eight passes, while also picking off one and forcing two fumbles.


#5 Dawid Brzozowski


Dawid Brzozowski has been THE breakout star of the 2023 ELF season. After already showing flashes of excellence towards the end of last year, rushing for 448 yards and two touchdowns over a five-game-span from Week 6-12 and ending the season as the fourth-most efficient rusher in the ELF, Brzozowski hit the ground running in 2023.

After just one week, the Polish phenomenon took over the starting spot from import running back Norman Ossohou and the franchise never looked back. The 22-year-old played the best season of any homegrown running back in ELF history, rushing for 1116 yards and 12 touchdowns, while also adding 25 receptions for 235 and a touchdown through the air.

Brzozowski was one of the best players in the ELF in 2023, was a First-Team All-Star selection and won the Homegrown of the Year Award. Unsurprisingly, the Polish phenomenon is coming in at number five in the Top 100.
