Ott Eric Ottender stays for the 2026 season!

Estonian wide receiver, Ott Eric Ottender, extended his contract, committing to the club for the 2026 season.

In the past season, the Estonian receiver was a key element of the Wrocław team's offense. He is a historic figure for his country, being the first Estonian to be recruited to an American Division I (D1) university. His talent quickly gained international recognition—after participating in the European All-Star PPI Camp in Essen, he was named by 247Sports as one of the five best offensive prospects in Europe. He also honed his skills in the prestigious NFL Academy program, the successful completion of which underscores his professional approach to his career. He already has experience performing on the big stage; playing in front of a 90,000-strong crowd at a stadium in Georgia remains an unforgettable experience for him, proving his resilience to the pressure of major events. As a player, he focuses on versatility and intelligence, thoroughly analyzing the playing styles of top wide receivers in the NFL.

What motivated you to stay with the Wrocław Panthers for another season?

I had a great time with the Panthers last year. From guys in the locker room, all the way in to the front office, I was always met with kindness, ambition and support by people who wanted me as a person and us as a team to succeed. I’m very excited for the coaching hires and where coach Likins will take our team after his decades long success as a football coach in Europe. Also, in these turbulent times in American football in Europe, the Panthers organisation offer great stability and leadership. Lastly, I adore Wrocław as a city so it is a wonderful time everytime I visit.

How do you evaluate the 2025 season – both your personal performance and the team's performance?

I think for both the team and I the right term to use would be “unrealized potential”.  I think we showed great level of play in some situations but made basic mistakes in the next. Same goes for myself. It is important that we learn from last year and make sure that we unlock our full potential in the coming season.

What individual goals are you setting for yourself in 2026?

I want to be an All-Pro WR.

What do you expect from the new league, the American Football League Europe (AFLE)?

I expect continued high level of play from teams that came over from the ELF along with us. I’m very excited to see the new franchises as well. I think AFLE has great potential to be the solution for long-term stability in the European American Football scene.

What message would you like to send to the Panthers Nation ahead of the new season?

From what I saw last season, we have the best fans in the league. I can’t wait for the high fives and cheers from the sidelines. You guys make Stadion Olimpijski a magical place every time we touch the field on the weekend. Let’s paint Europe white and red! RAZEM!
