Another piece of the puzzle falls into place – the Panthers' 2025 roster will be strengthened by 21-year-old Danish Defensive Back, Milos Ilic!
Ilic is another European transfer and another reinforcement for our defense – so far, our defensive lineup has been boosted by three international players: Linebacker AJ Wentland (USA), Defensive Back Devan Burrell (USA), and Defensive Lineman Jordan Scanlan (Australia).
Playing as a Safety for Munich Ravenf of the European League of Football in 2022 and the Braunschweig Lions of the GFL in the 2024 season, Ilic made a name for himself as a dynamic player with the ability to read the game well and make quick decisions.
Milos! Your addition to the Panthers 2025 roster is great news and we are happy to have you. Tell us, what made you decide to bring your talent to Poland?
I’ve always heard great things about the team and the organization. Great things about coach Kool. I saw it as an opportunity I couldn’t miss out on. Later after having a great conversation with coach Kool at our last home game in Braunschweig, I knew this was the next chapter for me.
In the 2024 season you went all the way to the GFL’s Semi Finals with Braunschweig Lions, finishing the season with over 40 tackles. The year before you were a part of Munich Ravens - how do you feel coming back to the European League of Football?
It feels great, I’m very excited to be back. My year in Munich was my first year in Europe, which was a very exciting and an instructive year as well. This year I had the pleasure to play side by side with my brother. Playing on an international level together has been something we’ve always wanted to do, so that has been very special for us. Now it’s time to get back to the big league and show what I can do.
What are your expectations regarding the upcoming season?
I expect the team to be ready for a long season. Definitely a playoff push. I’m excited about the coaches and the guys so I think it’s going to be a very exciting year.
How do you spend your offseason? Are there some elements of your game you want to develop in the upcoming weeks?
I’ve already started my off-season workouts. Definitely some things that need to be worked on. But I’ll be 100% ready to give all I got for Wrocław
Have you had a chance to visit Poland yet?
Unfortunately not yet, but I’m very excited. I’ve only heard great things about the country, the culture and the people!
What can the teammates and fans expect from you?
That I will always give 110% every time I step on the field. I’m excited to meet all of you! Let’s HUNT!!!
