Jamaal White joins the Panthers Wrocław coaching staff

With the news of coach Mason Keeler joining the staff, we have finished revealing the cards regarding coaches on the offensive side of the ball, but this surely is not the end of announcements. The preparation of the Defensive Backs formation, i.e. the last line of our defense, will be coached by Jamaal White. Panthers Nation surely remembers Jamaal as a player, as he represented Panthers black-and-blue in two games in the 2022 season.

Coach White is not only an amazing athlete who played for us twice - in  games against Hamburg Sea Devils and Vienna Vikings. He is also a well-known and respected position coach throughout Europe, and it was his skills and knowledge that coach Christensen found perfect to guide the DB group. In addition to conducting individual trainings for players in Germany, coach White has also worked, among others, for the Berlin Rebels in the GFL and Berlin Thunder in the European League of Football.

Why did you choose to join Panthers?

I chose the Panthers because 1. I played here for 2 games and I fell in love with how the organization handled things, they treat their players like family. 2. The history and the Panthers culture, and I have a really good relationship with Dave Likins, the defensive coordinator. I feel like us together will make a mean and nasty defense.

How did your transition from player to coach go?

It was tough, but it was time. I accomplished my main goal and that was to win a championship as a player. So I left the game with no regrets.

What is your coaching philosophy?

The same way I went about a season as a player is the same way I'll go about it as a coach. I want more rings, so I have an opportunity to still get them. So it holds more weight trying to achieve that as a coach so we will work our ass off to get it done.

What’s your experience with Panthers so far?

Because the whole organization has their back, no player will be left out or feel unwanted. The Panthers this year brought in a hungry coaching staff, with a great coaching and playing background. The front office works their butt off to make sure you’re taken care of. The fans are great and the facilities are world class.

Few words to the Panthers Nation!

I'm excited to be back in Wroclaw, just know that we as a staff are already working on bringing you guys ANOTHER championship to Wroclaw. But this one will be special because no one expects us to win but you all. So our goal is to shock Europe. When I came last year for 2 games I was treated like I was there all year. As far as the defense I expect big things, because we will be very physical, and we will outsmart other teams.
