After three consecutive away games, it’s time for another clash at Wrocław’s Olympic Stadium as part of the European League of Football. On Sunday, July 6, Panthers Wrocław will face off against the Cologne Centurions in front of their home crowd. Kickoff at 1:00 PM. Tickets are already available at ticketmaster.pl – excitement guaranteed!
Panthers Wrocław return to the Olympic Stadium after nearly a month-long break, caused by three straight road games, to once again battle European opponents on home turf. The Wrocław team finished their road stretch with a 2–1 record, bringing their overall season tally to 3 wins and 3 losses at the halfway mark of the regular season. The chance for a fourth win comes this Sunday as the Panthers take on the German side, Cologne Centurions.
In the first meeting between the teams, played in Cologne, the Panthers dominated with a 57–3 victory. The German squad has struggled this season and remains winless so far. We hope that won’t change this Sunday, especially with head coach Craig Kuligowski’s team coming off a big win over Fehérvár Enthroners last weekend. Now they aim for a second consecutive victory in ELF action.
"You can never underestimate your opponent or assume the game will be easy – that kind of mindset can backfire. Even Cologne, considered the weakest team, is never taken lightly by us. We approach every game with full commitment.
Playing at home is special – the fans are like a 12th man on the field. Winning in front of our supporters is the best feeling, though losing hurts twice as much. On behalf of the entire team, I invite everyone to the Olympic Stadium this Sunday. It’s the perfect event for families and friends to enjoy together – especially with the family picnic happening alongside the game."
– says Jakub Gajewski, Panthers Wrocław offensive lineman.
Ahead of the matchup with the Cologne Centurions, Panthers Wrocław have made a key roster change. Defensive back Paul Lewis III has joined the team. Last year, he represented the University of Akron in NCAA Division I.
A home game at Wrocław’s Olympic Stadium is not just about the action on the field — it’s a full-on football celebration for the whole family. Starting at 10:00 AM, the area around the stadium will feature a fan zone with food trucks, music, entertainment, contests, and appearances from the team mascots. It’s a great way to experience the ELF atmosphere up close.
It’s also worth remembering that Panthers Wrocław and Cologne Centurions faced off in the very first game in European League of Football history. On June 19, 2021, at the Olympic Stadium, the Panthers came out on top with a 55–39 win. We’re hoping for another great performance and a home victory this Sunday. Kickoff at 1:00 PM. Tickets are available now at Ticketmaster.
