We have learned the names of the coaches responsible for preparing the offensive unit of the Panthers section, which will begin competing in the Polish Football League in the spring of 2025. Similar to the offensive side, the defensive staff, led by head coach Jakub Samel, consists exclusively of Polish coaches with experience on both domestic and international fields.
The responsibility for developing defensive strategies and their execution has been entrusted to Przemysław Lewszyk by Jakub Samel. Since 2014, Lewszyk has been involved in coaching the Panthers Juniors section, with which he has won multiple Polish Championship and Vice-Championship titles. He has also prepared players for senior-level play, with athletes like Szymon Romanowski, Daniel Piątkowski, and Maciej Krupa being prime examples of successful transitions from junior levels to the European League of Football.
A veteran of Polish football fields, Dymek ended his playing career after the 2021 season in the European League of Football to focus on research into technologies aimed at minimizing the risk of head injuries in football players. At the same time, he took charge of the Panthers Juniors defensive line, which quickly became one of the most dominant units in the national league. Now, it's time for him to tackle challenges at a higher level!
Konrad Kołaczyński is the first coach in Samel's staff without prior experience within the Panthers organization. Starting in 2011 as a player with the Olkusz Silvers, he joined Dukes Ząbki in 2019 after a hiatus, taking on the role of player-coach and becoming heavily involved in the administrative management of the team. Since 2021, after a career-ending injury, he transitioned to coaching full-time as the Defensive Assistant for the Dukes. Concurrently, until the end of 2022, he served as the Defensive Backs Coach for the women's Warsaw Sirens team and was involved from 2022 to 2024 with the Polish national flag football team, which secured third place in its inaugural international tournament.
"Currently, I am one of the coaches on the Panthers Wrocław staff. I joined the team because I want to expand my football knowledge, gain experience, and hone my skills as a coach under the guidance of the best. I want to see the highest level up close and be part of a team where football is a value, not just a sport we play.
My coaching portfolio may still be modest, but I’m here to change that and become a permanent part of this team. I will do everything to fulfill my mission to the best of my ability," Kołaczyński summarized, marking his arrival at the Panthers.
The schedule for the Polish Football League games has not yet been announced. However, it is known that preparations for the Panthers' first season back in the Polish league will kick off in full force this January. The season will start in the spring, perfectly complementing the European League of Football season schedule, which is expected to be revealed later this year.
