Battle for the Play-offs: Panthers Wrocław to host Berlin Thunder

On Saturday, August 19th, Panthers Wrocław will play the most crucial game of this year's European League of Football season. The outcome of the home game against Berlin Thunder will directly impact the final standings and determine which of the teams advances to the European playoffs. It will also be Wrocław's final home game of the season.

Panthers Wrocław players have faced a tough game against the Vienna Vikings. On Sunday, the Polish representatives put up a strong fight in a closely contested game but ultimately succumbed to the European champions with a score of 16-20. Despite the loss, the Wrocław team once again demonstrated their ability to compete against the strongest teams in Europe.

Berlin Thunder undoubtedly belongs to this category as well. In their initial encounter, the German footballers defeated Wrocław 36-27. Therefore, in order to advance to the play-offs, the Polish team must defeat the German visitors by a margin of at least 10 points and then win against the Fehervar Enthroners in the following game.

– In the game against Vienna Vikings, we showed that we belong to the European elite. We are fully aware that the stakes of Saturday's game involve securing a spot in the play-offs. We will do everything in our power to be among the top six teams of the regular season. We will be well-prepared for this – says Dave Christensen, head coach of Panthers Wrocław.
