Another reinforcement – Gennadiy Adams joins Panthers Wrocław!

Another foreign reinforcement in Panthers Wrocław. Gennadiy Adams, a 29-year-old American running back from Phoenix who can also play as a wide receiver, is joining the team.

Another transfer for the Panthers

Last season, Gennadiy Adams was a key player for the Potsdam Royals, with whom he secured the German championship in the GFL. Previously, for two years, he played in the European League of Football for the Frankfurt Galaxy, with whom he clinched the European championship in the 2021 season.

In 2017, Adams participated as an undrafted free agent in the Minnesota Vikings' NFL camp. He played college football for Simon Fraser University and the Bemidji State Beavers. Now, he will support Panthers Wrocław in the quest for victory in the European League of Football. Additionally, due to his dual citizenship and starting playing football in Europe, Adams won't occupy an American spot in the roster but so-called European spot.

I joined the Panthers because I've been hearing great things about this organization since I had arrived in Europe for my first season in 2018. I've known players previously on the team and currently on the team who had alot of optimism about the future of the organization. I believe offensively we have the chance to become one of the best offenses in the ELF, and defensively we've put the right pieces in place to compliment the offense, this recipe I believe will give us a great chance to compete for the ELF championship. I've heard the Club is one of the most professional in Europe, and that when it comes to facilities and the players being taken care of, Wrocław is one of the teams at the top of the list! The city I'm excited to explore. I've heard it's a mix of history and modernization. I'm a big adventurer and for me to get the opportunity to live in another country I've never experienced, is going to amazing! My message to the fans is that in 2024 the Wrocław Panthers are going to be one of the most talented teams the city has ever had. The games are going to be high paced and extremely exciting! We are focused and driven on only one goal, and that's to bring this organization a Championship! We hope to see a record number of fans this year show up and watch us compete against some of the best teams in Europe! I'm very excited to be a part of this Panther Family! – says Adams himself.

Almost a complete roster

He is the ninth, and penultimate, foreign player in the Panthers Wrocław squad for the 2024 season. In addition to Adams, four Americans have also joined the Panthers - Steven Duncan (QB), A.J. Wentland (LB), Devan Burrell (DB), and Matt Cole (WR), as well as Otávio Amorim (OL) from Brazil, Keanu Ebanks (OL) from Great Britain, Adrià Botella Moreno (TE) from Spain, and Dušan Novaković (DL) from Serbia.

According to the European League of Football rules, each team can acquire a maximum of four players from the United States and six from other countries around the world. The 2024 ELF season will kick off at the end of May next year.
