An Unstoppable Leader: Vienna Vikings Triumph in Wrocław

The Panthers Wrocław fought valiantly, but on this day, the Vienna Vikings were clearly the superior team. The visitors from Austria secured a decisive 38–12 victory at the Olympic Stadium. Next week, the Polish representatives in the European League of Football will face their next challenge—this time in Germany against the Munich Ravens.

A Well-Deserved Win for the Vienna Vikings

Panthers Wrocław faced a monumental challenge as the Vienna Vikings—currently the best team in the league—arrived at the Olympic Stadium. From the very beginning, the Austrians set a blistering pace. The Panthers’ defense struggled mightily to stop both the passing and running plays of their opponents.

In top form was the Vikings’ running back Karri Pajarinen, who rushed for nearly 150 yards. Vienna’s offense executed consistently, resulting in five touchdowns.

The Panthers put up a spirited fight, but their solid plays were mixed with costly mistakes. American wide receiver Darrell Steward Jr. caught two touchdown passes, Maciej Jabłoński made an interception, and Dawid Brzozowski thrilled the crowd with some spectacular runs. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to overcome the red-hot team from Vienna. The Vikings ended Panthers Wrocław’s three-game winning streak with a commanding performance.

“The game was physical from the very first snap, and the opponents made things really tough for us. They were disciplined and played every down to the whistle. Even though we left everything on the field, including our hearts, we made some mistakes. We'll work on fixing them before our next match. Huge thanks to our fans for their support—we’re now focused on the game in Munich,”
said Patryk Guk, linebacker for Panthers Wrocław.

Next Stop: Germany

Panthers Wrocław’s next European League of Football game will be on the road. On July 27 at 1:00 PM, they’ll face the German team Munich Ravens. The game will be broadcast on Polsat Sport Fight, Polsat Box Go, and the DAZN platform/app.

The next home game for Panthers Wrocław is scheduled for August 16, when they’ll host the Munich Ravens again at the Olympic Stadium in their final match of the 2025 season. Tickets for the game are available on Ticketmaster.
