The squad of Panthers Wrocław for the 2023 season is almost complete. The penultimate foreign reinforcement of the team is a powerful player from Brazil - Otávio Amorim, who will support the team from Wrocław in the offense formation.
Otávio Amorim is an offensive lineman with impressive physical conditions - he weighs 155 kg and is 191 cm tall. The Brazilian already has experience in playing at the European level - in the 2021 season he represented the colors of Berlin Thunder, with whom he played, among others in games against Panthers Wrocław.
The class of the new player from Wrocław is confirmed by the fact that in 2019 Amorim took part in the prestigious NFL International Player Pathway program, and last season he was invited to the CFL Combine, after which he was selected in the Global Draft by the Canadian team Toronto Argonauts.
– I chose to join the Panthers because it was the hardest team I've ever faced, and I also can accomplish my dream of being close to my family. As for my style of play, I'd say that I love making athletic plays and putting a lot of effort into every snap. I’m a true guy on and off the field, humble and happy to do what I love every day. When I played against the Panthers I had the opportunity to see how much the fans make a difference in every home game and I feel blessed to be part of the Panthers family now – says Otávio Amorim himself.
The Brazilian lineman is the penultimate, ninth reinforcement of Panthers Wrocław from abroad for the 2023 season. Previously, the Wrocław team was joined by four Americans: Solomon Brown (DL), Artevius Smith (DB), Brenton Martin (WR) and Nik Rango (QB) and Europeans: Timi Nuikka (LB, Finland), Artur Pinheiro (DL, Portugal), Norman Ossohou (RB, France) and Leo Krafft (DL, Norway).
