More transfers and new foreign names at Panthers Wrocław

More foreign names appeared in the ranks of the American football championship team. This time Panthers Wrocław informed about the transfer of player Malik Stanley and the joining of the team by two coaches - Ken Jones and Cory McDiarmid.

Panthers still active in transfer window

Panthers Wrocław is currently the best Polish American football team, which in 2022 for the second time, as the only team from Poland, will participate in the European League of Football. Last year - during their first season in the ELF - the players of the Wrocław club reached the semi-finals of the tournament. Currently, the goal is the most important football trophy on the Old Continent, so the Panthers management is constantly focusing on strengthening both the team and the coaching staff. Now - less than three months before the start of the season - it's time to meet new names.

A new receiver and two respected coaches

A new American receiver has just joined the Panthers family - Malik Stanley, who in the 2022 season will replace KaVontae Turpin, selected in the 13th draft round for the US USFL league. The 195 cm tall former Louisiana Tech Bulldogs player is a serious contender for the defenders facing him. With an impressive background in the NCAA Division 1, Stanley made a permanent mark on the university team's history, breaking several college records. In the 2022 season, in black and blue, the new Wide Receiver will be a weapon of the offense led by Justice Hansen.

The team of coaches from the Wrocław club will be joined by two celebrities appreciated in the football world - Ken Jones and Cory McDiarmid.

The first of them - Ken Jones - will take the position of the offensive line coach. Jones has nearly 40 years of experience, including as a coach of renowned teams, including: Troy University, University of West Alabama or Southern Illinois University. The new Panthers trainer can also boast the title of University Master in Weightlifting, the position of an academic lecturer and participation in the production of numerous scientific publications.

Jakub Samel's coaching staff will also be joined by Cory McDiarmid, who will be the coordinator of Panthers' Wrocław Special Teams and the Running Back trainer. The new coach has 15 years of experience in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and has four Gray Cup appearances (CFL championship match) - including two wins in 2000 and 2013. It is also worth adding that as a coach he spent three seasons, among others with Winnipeg Blue Bombers, and recent years with Edmonton Eskimos and Toronto Argonauts.

The start of the 2022 season is getting closer

The first game of the ELF will take place on the first Sunday of June, starting the series of 12 regular season games (6 home and 6 away games).

All home matches of Panthers Wrocław will be held at the Olympic Stadium in Wrocław, which creates a great opportunity to watch the matches live for fans from Lower Silesia, but also not only.
