Panthers Wrocław continue to strengthen their coaching staff ahead of the upcoming European League of Football season. The team proudly announces the addition of Bryant Foster as Defensive Backs Coach and Co-Defensive Coordinator. With a wealth of experience across multiple levels of collegiate football in the U.S. and a passion for leadership, Foster brings both tactical expertise and a culture-driven mindset to Wrocław.
"Coaching professional football has always been a clear goal of mine, and joining the Panthers is an exciting milestone in my coaching career," says Foster. "This opportunity enables me to grow as a coach, embrace a new culture, connect with players and coaches from diverse backgrounds, and help elevate the game globally. I’m grateful to Head Coach Kuligowski and the entire Panthers organization for trusting me with this role, and I’m eager to make a meaningful, lasting impact here in Wrocław."
Foster’s path has taken him through every level of American college football – from Division III, II, FCS, to FBS. One of the most formative stops in his career came in 2019, when he took part in the prestigious NFL Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship with the Washington Commanders.
"That opportunity gave me firsthand insight into the level of detail, technical precision, and strategic preparation required at the highest level of football," he explains. "Since then, I’ve carried those lessons into every role — focusing on discipline, adaptability, and player development as core pillars of my coaching philosophy."
Foster is known for building defenses that thrive on intensity, communication, and execution.
"An effective defensive unit in modern football plays fast, physical, and smart — and loves every minute of it. It all starts with communication. When players know what to do, how to do it, and why it matters, they play faster, more confidently, and can adapt to anything an offense throws at them."
In the first few weeks with the team, Foster will prioritize relationship-building and mastering fundamentals.
"My top priorities in the first few weeks are to build relationships and establish trust with the players, coaching staff, and organization," he adds. "On the field, we’ll emphasize mastering techniques and fundamentals, fostering strong communication within the unit, and instilling the core principles of our defensive scheme."
Foster’s coaching philosophy puts a strong emphasis on mindset, character, and effort. During his time at Coastal Carolina University, he learned the importance of developing the whole player – a lesson captured in his B.E.S.T. standard:
Believe – in yourself, your teammates, the coaching staff, and the mission.
Effort – give 100% of what you have every day.
Sacrifice – do what others won’t to make the team better.
Toughness – stay locked in, fight through adversity, and compete with grit.
"The qualities I value most in secondary players extend beyond physical talent; they encompass the right attitude, mindset, and character."
To Foster, football is more than just a sport – it’s a life-shaping experience. His values are embodied in the acronym G.E.N.T.Z.: Genuine effort, Engaged minds, Notable plays, Tenacious spirit, and unyielding Zeal.
"If we live by those standards every day, both on and off the field, we give ourselves the best chance to succeed as a unit and grow as people."
As he begins his journey in Poland, Foster is ready to embrace not only the football field but also the community.
"Panthers Nation, I’m truly honored to be part of this organization and this incredible city. I came here to build and be a part of something special. I’m excited to grow with this team, embrace the culture, and connect with the amazing fans here in Wrocław. Dziękuję za przyjęcie. Let’s rock!"
