The Playoffs Are Here! Panthers Wrocław battle for a semifinal spot at Stadion Olimpijski!

It is time to kick off the decisive phase of the 2026 Polish Football League season - the playoffs. On Sunday, the Panthers Wrocław will play their quarterfinal match, hosting Wataha Zielona Góra at the Olympic Stadium. The game kicks off at 1:00 PM, and tickets are already available on the Eventim platform.

Following a fantastic five-game winning streak, the Panthers ultimately finished the regular season in a strong second place in the standings. Thanks to this, they will play the quarterfinal in front of their home crowd. Their opponents, Wataha Zielona Góra, are the surprise package of the regular season - the Lubusz Voivodeship representatives secured seventh place in the league with a 4-4 record.

The two teams have already faced each other in the regular season. In Zielona Góra, the Wrocław team proved superior, claiming a decisive 46-6 victory. However, that is in the past. The playoffs follow their own rules - it is a single-elimination game, and the winner takes it all.

„We've had a great conclusion to the regular season, and now we are heading into the playoffs, where everyone starts fresh with a 0-0 record. We will play our first quarterfinal match against one of this year's surprises, Wataha Zielona Góra. We already faced them on their turf this season, and now it’s time to host them at the Olympic Stadium. Football Weekend at the Olympic Stadium

Wrocław fans can already gear up for a double dose of excitement. On Sunday, coach Jakub Samel's squad will begin their fight for the Polish championship, while a day earlier, on Saturday, coach Dave Likins' Panthers will play another match in the European AFLE - The League Europe competition. Following an impressive away victory over the Firenze Red Lions, the Wrocław team will face the Paris Lights for the second time this season.
