The League Europe Championship game - Panthers Wrocław vs. Vienna Vikings

This Sunday, Panthers Wrocław face a historic chance to claim The League Europe championship title. In the grand finale, Wrocław’s American football team will square off against the Vienna Vikings. Kickoff at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg is scheduled for 3:30 PM. The event will be broadcast live on Polsat Sport 3 and streamed on the AFLE+ platform.

This marks one of the most significant games in the club's history - the AFLE championship final. In Duisburg, Germany, the Panthers will clash with Austria's Vienna Vikings, a team they have regularly faced since 2021. Both squads have met twice this season: the Austrians claimed victory in Wrocław (42-23), while the Panthers emerged victorious in the rematch (34-31).

In the semifinals, the Vikings dominated the London Warriors 71-34 at home, while the Panthers secured a thrilling 41-40 road win against Rhein Fire.

A single game will decide who lifts the trophy. With both teams renowned for their explosive and high-powered offenses, fans can expect an action-packed, high-scoring spectacle.

„We could not be more proud of our team, our players play so hard! We have beaten every team in our league and made it to the Gold Bowl. We will have a good week of preparation and look forward to a great Championship game! I hope many of our Wroclaw fans can make the trip.“ - said Dave Likins, Head Coach of Panthers Wrocław.

„Naturally, we expect a hard-hitting game from Vienna right down to the final whistle. Our recent win on their home turf proved that we can compete, and if they want to take home the gold, they’ll have to play at the absolute top of their game. I can promise that every player will do everything in his power to bring that trophy home to Wrocław - we’ve worked too hard to take our foot off the gas on the final stretch. We know we earned our spot in the final, and now we have to prove we deserve the ring. The atmosphere in the locker room is incredible - it’s hard to imagine anything less after such a monumental win. We have the chance to show all of Europe that Poles fight until the very last drop of blood. For me personally, playing in this game is a dream come true. I’ve been playing football for 16 years, but I’ve never played in a game like this. I already know that no matter the outcome, this memory will stay with me for the rest of my life.“ - added Rafał Rogaczewski, Center for Panthers Wrocław.

The final will take place this Sunday at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg. Tickets are available on Eventim. Fans who cannot travel to Germany can watch the live broadcast on Polsat Sport 3 or stream it via AFLE+.
